Staying at the Centre

Staying at the Centre
During your stay at the crisis centre, it is natural to resume your work or education, and for your children to return to school or daycare. You are responsible for your own children during your stay.

It is a good idea to bring a change of clothes, outdoor clothing, slippers, footwear, toiletries, glasses, your children’s comfort toys, school bags, lunch boxes, juice bottles, essential medication, personal documents, etc.

Together with other women, you will work to create a positive daily life, with children at the heart of activities. Outings to forests, beaches, and cultural sites are often planned. Residents take turns preparing dinner for one another and assist with shopping and cleaning.

Guests are welcome to visit during the day but cannot stay overnight. The person responsible for the situation that led you to seek refuge at the centre is not welcome as a guest.

What does a stay cost?
An annual daily rate is set, which is covered by the local municipality of your original residence.
According to Section 109 of the Social Services Act, your personal contribution will be DKK 101.19 per day in 2025.
The centre may also charge for meals and laundry. You are responsible for covering personal necessities.
